Footsteps in the Dark is a poignant, live-action and animated documentary that follows two young people of Somali descent that discuss their experiences of mental health and stigma within the Nairobi Muslim community.

Shuria Abdi

Abdulkadir A.S Abdullahi is a writer, director, cinematographer and editor, a multifaceted filmmaker. Born and raised in Nairobi Kenya he later moved to San Francisco California, where he studied at the Academy Of Art University and received a bachelors of fine Art in Cinematography. Abdulkadir creates short form content and also works in TV.

Azza Satti is the founder of NORTH EAST AGENCY. Before moving back to Nairobi she spent a decade in New York where she produced art, theater, film and design events. She is also a film curator and an improvisation theater educator. Azza has an MA in Art & Public Policy from Tisch New York University, and a BA in Media & Film Studies.
