Kantarama Gahigiri
Kantarama Gahigiri is a Swiss and Rwandan filmmaker. She is currently developing the feature film Tanzanite, a futuristic, female driven, eco-conscious odyssey that takes place in 2050 Kenya. Tapis Rouge, her first feature has been screened and awarded worldwide including TV5Monde Best Francophone Feature Film, followed by a theatrical release in Switzerland and in France (2017). Kantarama is an alumna of Realness Institute Residency (South Africa 2018), La Fabrique Cinéma at 72nd Cannes Film Festival (2019) and Le Moulin d’Andé – CÉCI Residency (France 2020).
