Day 5: Catch Up on Film Africa

Film Africa 2020 – Day 5: The Letter, Baobab Award Shorts & Farewell Amor – Tuesday 3 November 2020 

Day 5 included our selection of Baobab Award shorts introduced by NFTS students Nicola Passarotto & Kinyua Kamau. The Baobab Award for Best Short Film exists to recognise and support African filmmaking and to enhance the visibility of emerging new voices. The Award consists of a £1,000 cash prize awarded by a jury of filmmakers and industry professionals. 

We had an Instagram takeover with Artist, Act of Love director Kuuka Eshun, she shared some stills from the campaign and some thoughts on her process and the film ahead of the UK Premiere.
