African Arts Foundation

The African Arts Foundation (AAF),an International Non-Governmental Organization, was established to fill an existing void in the global understanding of African arts & culture for world peace.

		AFC funds implement and launch new programs directly dedicated to the socio-cultural and economic development of the film industry in Africa.

The Mission of the African Film Commission is to position Africa in the global film industry, assist visiting filmmakers and local filmmakers tell stories that present the rich and diverse African culture for Africa's socio-economic, cultural development and global understanding.

The African Film Commission Network "AFC NETWORK" is composed of two entities, one is "AFC Government Network" and the other " AFC Society Network", one cannot exist without the other. The partnership between the Government and Society make AFC NETWORK.

AFC GOVERNMENT NETWORK is comprised of all regional, national and city film commissions in continental Africa. All African Union Member Nations are Honorary Members of the AFC. All Honorary Members who have duly filled the application are Interim Members of the African Film Commission and join the AFC Government Network. All Interim Members and any entity which functions under the authority or endorsement of an African government that have completed the membership requirements become Full Member of the NETWORK.

AFC SOCIETY NETWORK promotes dialogue and action globally, in all areas of filmmaking, television arts and new media in Africa. AFC Society Membership is open to anyone globally, who has interest in furthering its vision of promoting dialogue and action in Africa through all ares of filmmaking, television and new media. Applicants are able to joint on the following levels: Student, General, Associate, Entertainment Industry & Executive, Lifetime and Honorary. Honorary Membership is by invitation only.
